Flashback - Sting Of The Slipper

"Sting of the Slipper"

Anyone who knows me at all knows that I'm a BIG "hairbrush fan". Or should that be "hairbrush hater"? Ah, the dilemma of being a spankee...

Anyway, just because the brush is my (least!) favourite implement doesn't mean others don't often enter my thoughts and fantasies. Belts are a bit of a fave, due to the "wait until mommy gets home" vibe they give me. Paddles fit school scenarios perfectly in my mind (yes, the cane is awesome too, but for some reason I find the US response tends to win over the UK one 8 out of 10 times in my imagined school days for some reason). Wooden spoons are very "Aussie Mum" implements, I think, and then there are all sorts of "sub-implements" like tawses, bathbrushes, ping-pong bats, riding crops, etc.

But then there's the slipper. Although the term "slippering" often refers to the disciplinary employ of any old piece of footwear (slipper, sneaker/gym shoe, sandal, etc.) the use of an ACTUAL slipper for a spanking enjoys a rather specialized place in my mind and fantasies.

A slipper smacking is - to me - a rather intimate form of chastisement, often maternal and typically involving a bedroom setting. It's not the most painful implement, sure, but it is very stingy (providing the right kind of slipper is used!) and very psychological in its innocence and almost childishness.

Okay, enough preamble... to the art piece!

100,000+ Hits!

"100,000 hits? That was just one hundred,
young man! Don't be such a big baby!"
Wow! I just noticed that this blog has passed the 100,000 hits mark! I don't know what that means in terms of other "big" blogs, but I'm thrilled and honored. Thanks to all who've visited and taken the time to leave a comment, vote in a poll or drop me an email. As I've said before, I read every single one of them!

I have noticed a bit of a drop-off in comments lately (not counting my few wonderful "regulars" - Colin, Smuccatelli, Emily, RobertC, Aunty Andrea, etc. - whom I can always count on to add fun and fascinating insights). I do hope folks aren't getting bored with my art, feeling let down by my absence in October, or were put off by my Halloween posts. I've genuinely missed some of the great people who commented a lot when the blog came online, and haven't done so on recent posts. Still, I know all too well what it's like to get overtaken by "real life", so hopefully it's just the Christmas season keeping us all extra busy!

I mainly bring this up, though, because I want to feature some of my favourite comments in a new "Quote of the Day" sidebar gadget, showcasing a few of the most amusing or interesting little snippets of what you - my awesome readers - have contributed here.

As much as I love to read the comments left, I know not everyone takes the time to dig through them, and there are some great gems of observations people have left that I feel adds to my art and stories - or just spanking concepts and conversation - tremendously (sometimes more than my own words and art!) and I'd like them to be seen more prominently. I'm assuming anyone who leaves a comment publicly (rather than emailing me) is happy for this, but do let me know if you've said something you'd rather I not call attention to!

So do please keep the comments coming, especially those of you who were here when the blog started but have since either drifted away or become 'lurkers' (something I'm guilty of on many a blog/site, I'll admit).

Maybe I should have a special "Love Our Lurkers" event in the new year, eh?

Art: His Very First Hairbrushing

"His Very First Hairbrushing"

Ahh, the hairbrush!

Is there a more perfect symbol of female spanking authority? Compact, feminine, innocent-looking (to those yet to experience it's authority!) yet exquisitely painful and able to reduce a naughty boy (or girl!) to kicking and tears in mere moments. In my opinion, it's the ultimate 'domestic' spanking implement.

I intend to write a full feature article on this - my favourite (well, love-to-hate, anyway!) - implement, but that may have to wait for when I have more time. For now, I'll have to be content with this new artwork.

With this piece, I wanted to capture the experience of a young man being 'introduced' to it for the very first time. Maybe he's never been spanked at all before, or maybe this is just the first time with the hairbrush? Either way, it's a moment in his life he'll never forget!

As such, I tried to present him having quite a distraught reaction to this particular spanking! Lots of tears, of course - it is a hairbrushing, after all! - but I also wanted to capture the mixed shock and anguish of a "first timer" too... he certainly didn't expect it to hurt this much! I tried for a sense of desperation as well; he knows his spanking is far from over, yet it already burns and stings far beyond what he thought he could handle! He's definitely panicking and fighting against it, with his arm reaching back either to block the blows or even just to beseech his spanker to "Please stop!" or "Not so hard!" or (most likely) "Pleeeease! No more with that brush!"

As for the spanker herself... I see her as perhaps either his step-sister, cousin or babysitter. She seems the perky, spunky, peppy sort normally, but a real meanie when she has a boy across her lap! I rather like her blond pigtails (something of a "cheerleader vibe"?), chunky jewelry (that toe ring just seemed to suit her) and cheeky shorts and crop-top (hands off!), too.

The actual reason for this "hairbrush indoctrination"? Maybe he pushed his sister/sitter too far and she decided "a good dose of the brush" was long overdue for him? Maybe she's spanked him before but her hand just doesn't seem to be working anymore... so she's decided that it's time to 'graduate' him to the hairbrush? Or maybe she's just bought herself a nice new wooden hairbrush and wants to try it out on him... just because she can?

Whatever the reason, she's certainly burnishing his buns with it though... it doesn't seem like she's going easy on him at all despite this being his first-ever brush-spanking!

I'm actually quite pleased with how the 'battle damage' turned out this time... it looks distinctly sore and more "hairbrush caused" than just general redness you might get from "just" a handspanking. I suspect he'll be having serious trouble sitting down in comfort after this!

Famous spanking artist Jay Em once captioned one of his pictures: "The first brushing is forever". I think this young man would heartily agree with that sentiment, don't you?

Flashback: Bedtime Series

This series of artworks is actually the oldest of all my work. It was one of - if not the - first works I ever did, and so is a bit "rough around the edges", especially compared to my newest pieces! I was still learning the ropes of how to do this when I made this set.

However, for some reason I know it happens to be one of my most popular works, and I've got several nice emails about it since I opened this blog, even though I wasn't even planning on re-posting it here. So, by popular demand... I present one of my first-ever attempts at spanking art: The 'Bedtime' series!

I don't know why, but I've always had a 'thing' for "bedtime spankings". Maybe it's the childhood urban legends/folklore of "crying yourself to sleep" after a good sound bedtime spanking, something I personally never experienced? Maybe it's the intimacy of a sleepwear-clad spanker and spankee? Maybe it's the idea of anticipation (a bedtime spanking is - at least in my mind - not really a "spontaneous" spanking, but a premeditated and preordained one). I really don't know, and would love to hear others' thoughts on the whole "bedtime spanking" concept, routines and effectiveness, from both the point of view of spankers and spankees.

But first, to the artworks... all nine of them!

Art: The Hairbrush Dance

"The Hairbrush Dance"
There's nothing like an impromptu "spankie dance" by a spankee shows that a spanking REALLY got through to them, I think.

To be in such hot-bottomed agony that you literally jump and prance about the room, frantically clutching and rubbing your stinging, burning buttocks, head thrown back back and howling to the heavens... that's the sign of a well-spanked young man (or young lady... shh!) and - so I'm told - a rather amusing sight for a spanker to watch.

Further, I believe there's few things better for producing a post-spanking "war-dance" than a properly-applied hard wooden hairbrush!

That's what I wanted to capture in this new artwork. Here, a satisfied lady watches as a young man performs what she affectionately terms "the hairbrush dance"; that is, hopping about while sobbing and rubbing his crimson buns like there's no tomorrow! For her, it's the clear sign that he'll remember this hairbrushing for a long time to come! For him, it's the point where he's oblivious to anything else in the whole world except the burning and stinging of his well-spanked buns. Two very different "emotional states"  in the same moment.

When I made it, I imagined that she was his "aunty" (possibly a "surrogate aunt" or even stepmother?) and had just given him a sound hairbrushing before going to bed (hence her somewhat "undressed" state and his nakedness)... this wasn't some totally on-the-spot spanking, but a measured approach to really setting his tender cheeks aflame! Her expression - or at least what I was going for - is one of something along the lines of "hurts, doesn't it?" or "you certainly felt that, didn't you?" or "I think that did the trick, eh?" etc.

What do others think of this scenario? How do you imagine their relationship, and their respective thoughts and mindsets now, post-spanking? And do you think this particular dance he's doing is unique to her hairbrush, or just an all-purpose "ouch-it-really-really-hurts" dance?

Oh, and yes... this art piece IS the origin of my seemingly much-loved "evil aunty" decorative image from this post! I liked how her character turned out so much, I wanted to use her to "illustrate" my blog too, but was saving this original pic to go with the approaching article series.
