Merry Christmas, everyone!

Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas (and Happy Holidays to those who don't celebrate it). I hope you are all doing okay and keeping safe this season. Things have been a bit rough with me lately, but I am okay and pushing on, and hope to have some new art posted soon; I actually have a couple of pieces almost ready to post however time got away from me to get them up for Christmas. It really means the world to me to have friends like you folks out there, even halfway around the world lik so many of you are. 40 Years of Celebrity Spankings - Intro

Hm, that thing doesn't look very safe...

What if you had a time machine? As a spanko, what would you use it for? Myself? Why, I'd use it to travel time getting spanked by as many female actresses, models, musicians, celebrities and historical figures as possible! Imagine being able to experience a Victorian birching, or a funky disco smacking, from some of the sexiest ladies who ever lived... and in their 'prime' too!

Since 2017 marked my 40th birthday, I wanted to do something special for this blog, as well as finding a way to revitalize it and get people visiting and commenting between art posts. I decided it would be fun to pose the following question to myself:

You have a time machine, but it can only visit the years you were alive and can only visit each year once. If you could use it to get spanked by one famous actress per year, from 1977 to 2017... who would be the spanker you'd pick for each year?

Yes, it's true! I'm back!

Sure, I missed my blog's one-year birthday (that was September 5th!). Sure, I missed my OWN birthday (that was October 2nd!). But better late than never, right?

(famous last words of the nervous young man coming home past curfew?)

It was a bumpy road, and I was nervous even as I published yesterday's post, that Blogger might decide "yeah, delete that blog again for having the audacity to post!". But it's still here, touch paddle-wood, and thus so am I.

I needed the break, after events in my "real life" and all the stress of Google/Blogger's deletions. I needed to refresh and reassess things. One of the things I reassessed was how much I missed this blog and all your comments. So, if you can hang around, if you can keep on commenting and letting me know you're out there and this isn't for nothing, I'll keep on blogging with what you want to see, read and enjoy. As I've always said, I do this for you.

For missing those milestone dates above, and for being away so long with so little explanation, I can only apologize. Hopefully, bringing this blog back and finally making good on my promises of not just new art, but new fun original content of other sorts as well.

I made the artwork below as a very special gift for a good friend a while back (which might explain the level of self-inflicted severity! *blush*), so I hope they won't mind me sharing it here in this form, but it feels like a fitting statement on my being gone for so long.

In all seriousness, I'm genuinely touched and honored to know that there are still folks out there who want to see my art and read my ramblings. The idea of having "fans" still seems odd to me after all these years.

That's Extra Heretical!

This is a Public Service Announcement.

I've started writing up some of the articles I mentioned in this previous post, and it's a lot of fun. However, I wanted to post this short 'warning' first:

See, as I'm always complaining, F/m is by far a less common thing - especially online - than F/f or M/f. That means when I'm looking for pictures on the net to illustrate some point I'm making, show a certain spanking position, or discuss a beloved spanking model, 90% of the 'hits' I get in searches - or just the only pics that even fit - are F/f or M/f ones.

This means that in some of these future articles you may see - gasp! - girls being spanked!

I know, terrible stuff, right? Banjo's BBS has always been among last bastions of strictly F/m-only righteousness. When you hear the name 'Banjo', can you think of a more staunchly devoted, pro-F/m guy online? I've fought (flame) wars for the cause!

Yet, it has come to this... heresy!

Yes, Veronica... I'm as shocked as you are.

If you're so righteously F/m-pure that you don't even know what I'm talking about... take a deep breath, brace yourself and click here for an example of the kind of disgraceful heresy (or here for an example of something extra heretical) that may occasionally assault our sensibilities.

Congratulations to 'Aunty' Andrea Mahoney, Kimberley Kennedy, my old buddy SeeGee and everyone at the amazing 'The Spank Shop' blog, on their recent first birthday!

I'm a huge fan of the Spank Shop stories, but only recently finally got the chance (after many promises... sound familiar?) to start reading Aunty Andrea's awesome blog.

I hope the outfit I chose was okay, and that I got your ebony hairbrush right, too; I had to do some research to get the right texture... and the heavy brushes I saw were enough to make a naughty boy nervously clutch his bottom... so heavy and "ouchie" looking!

That Time Of The Month

Just a quick update I thought I'd better make, to let everyone know a small but important detail about my 'real life' situation and this site. No, nothing bad! But this is something most of my close friends know, but likely not general knowledge.

In Australia, internet service providers and data allowances are pretty "backwater", compared to some other first-world countries. We pay a lot for a little, most of the time. One such issue is that almost every ISP imposes "caps" on data uploads and downloads, meaning that if you use more than your contract is for (say, 20GB) in a month, you either get charged extra or have your internet speed throttled to (very) sub-dialup speeds. In my case, it's the latter.

All this means is that sometimes, rarely but possibly, near the end of every month I might trip this limit and basically lose the use of the internet. Normally, I'm careful enough, but last month I ran out a good week before the end of February. Hence, for example, why my new Valentine's Day art piece didn't get posted until now.

It's no biggie, and almost will never be relevant, but just something I wanted to make known in case a promised update or something doesn't show up in the last days of a month, so nobody got worried!

Save Early, Save Often!

A few days ago, my hard drive crashed.

For several terrifying hours, I thought every piece of art I was working on recently was lost (even the work-in-progress renders I do frequently, as they were on the same drive).

Fortunately, after spending the last couple of days on it, I recovered everything, but it was a very scary feeling, believe me!

What made it worse is that I really felt like I'd been "caught with my pants down" (and not in a good way!), since I didn't have a recent backup of my Poser models and work. If I hadn't been able to recover my drive... well, it would have meant not just a significant loss of work, but having to reinstall Poser and around 70gb of models scattered over dozens of DVDs (which would take weeks, easily).

See, I backup most stuff (such as this blog) regularly, but Poser files are very big (external HDD backup size, not DVD size), and take a significant time to backup... and combine this with my unfortunate tendency to "do it later", and it turned out the last time I did a full backup was January 2011!

As a kid, I loved the video games made by Sierra, such as Space Quest and Leisure Suit Larry (the latter occasionally providing some of my first exposure to femdom, outside of my own imagination).

Back then, video games were generally less forgiving on players (no regenerating health here!), so the company had a mantra in their manuals that players learned to adopt: "save early, save often".

I don't know about other gamers who grew up with those games from that era, but those experiences left a lasting impression on me. While other kids at school lost their essays when the computer lab had a power cut or their dad accidentally knocked the plug out at home, I always saved my work frequently. That continued into adult life, where many folks still consider me somewhat paranoid about saving frequently and keeping multiple copies of important files.

Still, despite all that, I nearly messed up big time. Getting caught out by this recent hard drive crash reminded me of just how important backups really are, especially when it comes to irreplaceable creative work of your own.

So shame (and spanks) on me, for so foolishly forgetting the Sacred Sierra Mantra:

Still, thankfully everything turned out okay, and my only "punishment" was the loss of a few days restoring my computer system and files... and yes, making a new backup, too!

I know it's a bit late (what does it say that Aunty Andrea made her New Year's post two days early, and I'm a week late?) but I wanted to take the time to wish everyone all the best for 2012, and thank you all for being there with me for my blog's launch in 2011.

Thanks so much for making my "un-retirement" last year so warm, and such fun. I'm looking forward to a year of exciting new ideas, art, stories and friendships in 2012.

On a personal note, I'm back home again and have got a busy week ahead, but I'm hoping that once that's over I'll have a more free time to devote to this blog at last. I've got so many ideas for this site, just seldom enough free hours in the day, it seems. Then again, I guess that's why guys like me sometimes need a firm female helping hand to manage their time more effectively?

Thanks again to all of you who've been commenting, emailing, and generally being so wonderfully supportive; I really appreciate it! To anyone reading this who's just discovered my blog for the first time, I hope you have fun here! Feel free to post comments and suggestions, or email me any time. 100,000+ Hits!

Wow! I just noticed that this blog has passed the 100,000 hits mark! I don't know what that means in terms of other "big" blogs, but I'm thrilled and honored. Thanks to all who've visited and taken the time to leave a comment, vote in a poll or drop me an email. As I've said before, I read every single one of them!

I have noticed a bit of a drop-off in comments lately (not counting my few wonderful "regulars" - Colin, Smuccatelli, Emily, RobertC, Aunty Andrea, etc. - whom I can always count on to add fun and fascinating insights). I do hope folks aren't getting bored with my art, feeling let down by my absence in October, or were put off by my Halloween posts. I've genuinely missed some of the great people who commented a lot when the blog came online, and haven't done so on recent posts. Still, I know all too well what it's like to get overtaken by "real life", so hopefully it's just the Christmas season keeping us all extra busy!

I mainly bring this up, though, because I want to feature some of my favourite comments in a new "Quote of the Day" sidebar gadget, showcasing a few of the most amusing or interesting little snippets of what you - my awesome readers - have contributed here.

As much as I love to read the comments left, I know not everyone takes the time to dig through them, and there are some great gems of observations people have left that I feel adds to my art and stories - or just spanking concepts and conversation - tremendously (sometimes more than my own words and art!) and I'd like them to be seen more prominently. I'm assuming anyone who leaves a comment publicly (rather than emailing me) is happy for this, but do let me know if you've said something you'd rather I not call attention to!

So do please keep the comments coming, especially those of you who were here when the blog started but have since either drifted away or become 'lurkers' (something I'm guilty of on many a blog/site, I'll admit).

Maybe I should have a special "Love Our Lurkers" event in the new year, eh?

Thank you for your patience and kind words, folks! It took a little longer to get myself 100% than I thought, but as of today I'm back in the saddle and ready to start this blog going again, and will be catching up on your comments as soon as I can!

As a gift to all who wished me well, here's a quick new artwork I did of the kind of medical "encouragement" that might have prompted me towards an even faster recovery... though anyone who (like me) ever feared a "shot" from a nurse might be a little nervous when presented with the following sight!

Meet Nurse Sophie... she doesn't tolerate any nonsense at her clinic, and she isn't known for being kind, sympathetic or gentle with her patients, either! So what do you think she might be saying here?

A) "Either you take your shots or you get spanked... your choice!"

B) "Since you're being such a baby about taking your shots, you're going to get a spanking as well!"

C) Something else?

Either way, you just know where she plans to administer those dreaded injections... either laying over her knee or bent forward over the exam bed, that needle is going right into in your poor butt!

Which means, if it is after her awful paddle has blistered that same fleshy part of your anatomy... DOUBLE OUCH!

Still alive!

Hi folks!

I just wanted to let everyone know I was okay, and apologise for the lack of updates and email replies this past week or so (I should be spanked or something... LOL!).

I've just been down with a nasty bout of the flu these past two weeks, but am thankfully much better now. Normal service will resume this week, I promise, so stay tuned!

Also, thanks to those who have entered my little birthday competition too... I've had about six or so entries, and will be announcing the winner next month, unless anyone needs more time for their entry, which I'm happy to allow if you just ask.

EDIT (30/10/11): Thanks for the kind wishes, folks... I'm on the mend at last! Also, I've extended the birthday competition deadline until November 24th, by request. Hope to be back in action real soon... maybe with another spanking story, too! :)

I just wanted to say a huge THANKS to everyone who's visited, posted comments, sent emails, and just been generally awesome!

I don't know what's "normal" or "good" for blogs, but I've had over 16,650 page views in the past week since I opened this site, a number that just leaves me stunned. I seriously had no idea that people even *remembered* me and my amateur attempts at artwork, let alone would still be interested!

I've also been amazed by the enthusiasm and kindness of other bloggers who've "plugged" my site, of their own accord, including artists, writers and bloggers I personally admire and enjoy, as well as - to my surprise - a lovely lady named Bonnie (who I've never met, spoken to or even visited, but who seems to be a *huge* spanking blog celebrity!) who very kindly linked to me totally out of the blue! That 33% of my visitors so far came from another blog (almost the same as from my old Yahoo Groups) is another reason to be grateful to you folks. I'm genuinely honored... thank you, all of you!

The fact that a couple have even asked me for design tips for *their* blogs is certainly an unexpected honor, too (when I opened, I was stressing out people would hate my "design" here, in fact!).

Reading everyone's comments this week has been a ton of fun, and really inspires me to continue this blog with new art, articles, and such. I am so happy - and relieved! - that people actually took the time to comment in such a fun and thoughtful manner; it really is inspiring for me to see folks engaging with my art and what I am trying to do here. Please know that I read *every* comment posted and email sent, and will be doing my best to reply to them (as needed) over the next few days, now that I'm "settled in" properly here.

As I said in my opening posts, I want this to be a place of discussion as well as to showcase my stuff; unlike some sites, there is no taboo against "grave digging" an old post here, folks! Anything and everything is fair game to post a thought on or continue discussing!

One thing I wanted to specifically single out was that I had no idea I'd get such a positive reaction to my little short story "The Wait", which I posted almost as an afterthought. I don't have the time to write much these days, but did it mostly as a bit of fun... so it was wonderful to hear it struck a chord with so many other people. Maybe I'll have to write more as well as making new art?!

Perhaps the best part of my "return", though, has been getting back in touch with so many old, long-lost friends. Just seeing those familiar names here welcoming me back really touched me in a way I can't describe, and getting in contact with so many of them again, some of whom I haven't spoken to in many years, made this whole undertaking worthwhile.

As I posted when I opened this blog, I was *very* nervous and hesitant about coming back into the public spotlight online again... the reaction (both publicly here and privately via email) has really convinced me that this was the right thing to do.

So, thanks again, everyone! Please keep the comments coming (and never think a post is "too old" to comment on).

Welcome!

The name's Banjo, a guy from Australia for whom the F/m spanking kink has been a passion for as long as I can remember.

Here on this site, you'll find my amateur attempts to create spanking artwork, as well as the occasional short story, article, review, fantasy, or just general rambling on the subject at hand... that is, take-charge women spanking men until their bottoms glow cherry red!
